This is me, in no particular order:
I tend to be an oversharer.
I’m noticeably-tall (somewhere between 6’5” and 6”’6”).
I grew up on Cape Cod and live and work in downtown Boston.
My husband and I have been married since 2006 and I’m a somewhat reluctant gay rights activist. I say reluctant, because I have so many things I love doing in life and would rather not have to fight for equality. But, I will as long as I have to.
I like theater (acting and watching), home renovation and design (though preferably not when I’m living in it), and spending time with the fantastic friends and family I’m lucky to have in my life.
I love exercise in many forms, but think going to the gym alone to stare in a mirror while lifting weights is boring as heck. I’ve become pretty obsessed with group-style workouts like Crossfit, the November Project, cycling with friends, and silly muddy adventure races.
Professionally, I help organizations/companies better connect with people through social media and experiences. I think one of the most important things people in companies can do is be responsive to other people’s needs and talk like human beings, and I think it’s weird how difficult that seems to be when we’ve got all the tools and technologies to do it.
I think life is about finding balance and sharing meaningful moments with other people, and it feels like those are increasingly tough thing to do. To me, connecting with other people through conversations and shared experiences is one of the ways we get there. I guess this is my digital way of doing that.
